Kel has been in the upholstery business for the last 30 years, serving the community in New Zealand, Australia and now Ireland.
The business was first started by Kel and Elaine by reupholstering vehicles and furniture for friends and family. In doing so, the business branched out to re-upholstering for automotive and furniture. Kel now runs the Riwaka Custom Interiors, along with the valuable assistance from his wife, Elaine, managing accounts and ordering material from suppliers in Europe and the United States.
The services offered are Automotive and Furniture reupholstering, with recently adding Marine and Commercial.
All types of seat cushions, auto carpeting and boat seats and carpet surging. We pride ourselves in specialising with custom requests, we will make you a mat of your liking for your house.
A pick-up and delivery service where required, to better assist our customers and to help save time.

RIWAKA ORIGIN
The name originates from New Zealand. Riwaka is a place near the top of the South Island, which our family use to pass through on our way to Golden Bay for our Summer holidays, and I have many fond memories of.
The Māori translation is “Interior Canoe”, with Waka meaning canoe - I instantly thought this is my company name!
